Manchester City netted four goals in the opening 25 minutes, and Sergio Aguero completed his hat-trick in the 2nd half as Man City dominate Chelsea 6-0.

Maurizio Sarri said he was “worried” about his Chelsea side after a 6-0 humiliation at Manchester City and added: “My job is always at risk.”

Chelsea suffered their heaviest ever defeat in the Premier League and asked about his future at the end of the match, Sarri said: “I don’t know. You have to ask the club. I am worried about my team, the performance. My job is always at risk, so I’m not worried [about that]. You have to ask the club.

“Today I didn’t see my football. At the beginning it worked. Now we need only to understand the reason why at the moment, it isn’t working. We need to understand the reason. It is not easy.

“We made a lot of mistakes against the wrong opponents. They played some really fantastic football.”

Sergio Aguero scored a hat trick — a record 11th in the Premier League along with Alan Shearer — Raheem Sterling netted twice and Ilkay Gundogan was also on target. The 6-0 scoreline was enough for Chelsea to drop to sixth on goal difference.

Having called his Chelsea side’s motivation into question before, Sarri instead opted to bemoan individual errors for the resounding defeat.

“Today the motivation was at the right level,” he added. “We started well then we conceded a goal in the stupid mistake. We had to stay in the match, but we weren’t able to. We made mistakes against the wrong opponent. They played fantastic football.”
